Your free trial and billing
Every plan is free for 14 days. When you’re ready, subscribe from Billing in your admin console. Paddle, our merchant of record, handles the payment.

Online payments are in test mode for now. If you subscribe, the payment is simulated and no real money is charged, and nothing changes for your mailboxes when your trial ends. When real payments start, you get at least 14 days to subscribe.
Your free trial
- It lasts 14 days and needs no payment details.
- It starts when your account is approved.
- You can change plans freely during the trial.
- While payments are in test mode, Billing says “Your free trial continues for now” once the 14 days are over.
Subscribe
- In your admin console, open Billing.
- Check your plan and choose Subscribe.
- Paddle’s checkout opens on the page. It shows your local currency where available, any tax, and the payment methods available in your country.
- Pay with the test card that Billing shows. Nothing is charged, and your account updates as soon as Paddle confirms the test payment.
Subscribe before your trial ends and you keep the free days you have left.
Who is Paddle?
Our merchant of record. Paddle sells Patra plans on our behalf, charges any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoices. The charge on your statement comes from Paddle.
Invoices
Billing, then Payment and invoices lists your payments, with an Invoice link for each completed one.
Change plans
- Bigger plan: applies at once. You see the amount due today before you confirm.
- Smaller plan: starts at your renewal, if your mail fits. If it won’t, we email you 3 days before the renewal. If it still doesn’t fit then, you stay on your current plan and we tell you.
- More than 50 GB: talk to us.
Payment method
Billing, then Update payment method.
Cancel
Billing, then Cancel subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Changed your mind? Keep my subscription. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
When your trial ends
While online payments are in test mode, nothing changes for your mailboxes when a free trial or a test subscription ends. When real payments start, every account gets at least 14 days to subscribe, and we email you before your free period ends.
Good to know
- The account owner or an admin manages billing.
- If your email comes through a Patra partner, the partner bills you, and Billing shows “Your account is billed separately”.
